About Me

Kit is a dedicated Rehabilitation Consultant and Provisional Psychologist with a strong foundation in social work and over five years of experience working alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Her professional practice has centred on early intervention, family systems, and responding to the complexities of family and domestic violence. Kit’s commitment to advancing understanding and improving outcomes in vulnerable communities is reflected in her recent publication in the Journal of Family Violence, where she explored family violence within LGBTQIA+ communities and the factors that influence bystander intervention. This work highlights her ongoing passion for advocating for and working with both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and LGBTQIA+ individuals. In the rehabilitation sector, Kit brings a comprehensive skill set and a client-centred approach. She specialises in same-employer and new-employer rehabilitation services, functional capacity assessments, vocational assessments, and vocational counselling. Her combined background in psychology, social work, and community engagement enables her to provide holistic, culturally responsive, and evidence-based support to individuals navigating injury, vocational change, or employment barriers. Kit is recognised for her warm, grounded, and collaborative practice, and for her commitment to empowering individuals and communities through tailored support, meaningful interventions, and informed advocacy.
