About Me
Layla Mafi is a dedicated Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner holding a bachelor’s degree in Psychological and Social Sciences from Western Sydney University. Through her experience in disability support, she has developed the skills and expertise necessary to assist participants in developing their skills and enhancing their capacity for independence. Layla’s passion for empowering and supporting young participants is rooted in her role as a Responsible Person (RP) in after-school care settings. She has worked with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, ADHD, and Intellectual Disability, as well as adults living with Anxiety, Depression, Schizophrenia, and Intellectual Disability. Layla’s academic foundation, combined with her practical experience, has fostered her growth as a practitioner and strengthened her commitment to person-centred practice.
