Mikaela is an Educational and Developmental psychologist with over 5 years of experience working with neurodiverse children, young people, and adults. Mikaela has worked across a variety of settings, including private practice, community health, and education. Mikaela has a passion for psychoeducational and neurodevelopmental assessment, including assessments for ADHD, ASD, specific learning disorders, and intellectual disability. She strives to follow a neuro-affirming approach to psychology while also supporting families to navigate current health and disability systems. She is dedicated to supporting children, young people, and their families in celebrating their diversity and providing them with the information, strategies, and support needed to advocate for themselves and lead fulfilling lives. Mikaela has completed research in cognitive neuroscience and personality assessment. Her current area of research interest is in trauma-informed practice and the impact that trauma can have on childhood and adolescent development.
