About Me
Nicola has worked as an Occupational Therapist in the NDIS community space for the past 3.5 years after graduating with her bachelor of applied sciences/masters of occupational therapy practice from LA Trobe University. Nicola has experience in a range of clinical focus areas within the community scope, including housing assessment, assistive technology, and prescription at independent living skill building. Nicola is passionate about building meaningful rapport with her clients and their support networks to ensure their services are goal orientated and motivating for her clients. She prioritises a strength-based approach to her interventions to maximise self-efficacy in the meaningful participation of all participants. Nicola strongly believes in thoroughly understanding broader policies and system operations, such as the NDIS, to maximise her effectiveness as a clinician in advocating for her client support needs.
