About Me
Regina is an accomplished occupational therapist with over 20 years of diverse experience in clinical practice, leadership, and project management. Throughout her career, she has provided comprehensive occupational therapy services to individuals with various conditions and disabilities. Currently serving as the Acting Clinical Team Leader, Regina efficiently manages an Occupational Therapy caseload, oversees clinical supervision, and drives change to achieve key billing performance indicators. Her responsibilities include managing human resources commitments, incident and complaints management, as well as performance development and reviews. Passionate about her work, Regina specialises in mid and high-cost assistive equipment prescription, home modifications, and assessments for supported independent living and specialist disability accommodation. She has a strong belief in the power of occupational therapy to facilitate recovery and improve clinical practices. Regina has mentored junior therapists, developed clinical decision-making pathways, and provided clinical advice for facility design and equipment selection. She also served as a Senior Project Officer, where she recruited participants for clinical care coordination and disability advice line trials, and provided expertise on care pathways and improvement opportunities. Regina's achievements reflect her dedication to excellence in occupational therapy. She received the Family and Community Services Occupational Therapy Award for Excellence in Practice in 2013 and the Marilyn Ryan Memorial Award for Excellence and Innovation in Healthcare for People with an Intellectual Disability in 2017. Regina's commitment to occupational health and safety earned her recognition as an Occupational Health and Safety Champion by Ageing, Disability, and Home Care in 2009. She even showcased her innovative work on ABC's New Inventors, presenting a WHS solution to manual handling hazards. Outside of her profession, Regina is a passionate endurance athlete competing at a national level in track and road racing.
