We’re grateful to share Castiel’s journey, a bright, energetic six-year-old who loves drawing, Lego, and anything Pokémon. 🧩🎨 When Castiel began Occupational Therapy, his family was seeking support to help him build confidence with emotional regulation and social interactions. When Declan was just a child, his family’s life changed forever. After a tragic accident and a series of medical complications, Declan was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and bacterial meningitis. Doctors told his mum, Kya, that he might never sit up, smile, or communicate. But Kya never gave up, and neither did Declan. 🙌 With the support of his family and ORS clinician Kate, Declan has been on an incredible journey of progress and discovery. Together, they have worked on assistive communication technology, helping Declan learn to use a switch to make choices, play music, and express himself in new ways. 🎶 Every small step, whether pressing a button, turning on his favourite song, or sharing a smile, represents hours of practice, teamwork, and belief.
