We stay up-to-date on the newest research and technologies to ensure we deliver effective services. When you choose ORS, you can trust that our allied health professionals will provide first-class treatments backed by science.
Person-Centred Care
We have helped thousands of participants, patients, clients, and residents recover from injuries, manage disabilities, improve their health, and remain active and engaged across all age groups.
While clinical knowledge is crucial, we believe services need to revolve around each individual’s unique needs. Our approach puts you at the centre of care. We take the time to understand what matters most to you and what you would like to accomplish.
Services Tailored to Your Needs
Our experienced allied health professionals offer expertise across disciplines to provide holistic, integrated care. Our complete range of services includes the following:
Positive Behaviour Support
Our practitioners conduct accurate behaviour assessments for individuals with behaviours of concern. We then develop support plans to improve communication, social skills, coping, and self-regulation. We also implement reinforcement systems to encourage positive behaviours. The team will provide ongoing monitoring and adjustments as needed. We also offer custom staff training and implementation support.
Psychology
Our experienced psychologists and counsellors specialise in assessments and therapies for mental health difficulties. We have experience with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, personality disorders, psychotic disorders, grief and more.
The services we offer include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT). We use these to help participants build coping strategies, process emotions, manage stress, overcome trauma, improve relationships and enhance their overall wellbeing.
Occupational Therapy
Our occupational therapists can help you regain independence through meaningful everyday activities. Through functional, cognitive, sensory and mental health assessments, we can identify barriers to participation in self-care, leisure, school, work and other daily activities.
Our holistic approach builds physical, cognitive and psychological skills that will empower you to participate fully in life.
Speech Pathology
Our speech pathologists assess and treat communication and swallowing disorders. We evaluate language, speech, fluency, voice, augmentative communication needs, cognitive-linguistic skills, oral motor function, and swallowing.
Evidence-based interventions are provided through speech therapy, communication devices, mealtime support, and swallowing exercises. We can provide treatment for developmental delays, articulation disorders, literacy difficulties, Parkinson’s, stroke, head injuries, and more.
Key Worker Early Childhood Support
Our Key Worker Early Childhood Supports provides a holistic approach to supporting children and families to achieve their potential.
We know that families are busy and that it can be overwhelming to have lots of therapy and medical appointments. We aim to simplify this, by providing you with the right support at the right time.
Our Key Workers will use their expertise in childhood development to help you develop goals for your child and coordinate with other members of the therapy team. Your therapy team may include occupational therapists, speech pathologists, positive behaviour support practitioners, psychologists, physiotherapists, dietitians, exercise physiologists, early childhood teachers, special education teachers, social workers and allied health assistants.
Dietetics
Our accredited Dietitians develop personalised nutrition plans to manage medical conditions like diabetes, heart disease, gastrointestinal issues, dysphagia, malnutrition, and more.
We conduct nutrition assessments, analyse dietary intake, provide nutrition education, recommend therapeutic diets, and offer meal planning guidance.
Physiotherapy
Our physiotherapists provide treatment to reduce pain, restore mobility and strength, prevent further injury, and enhance physical functioning. We use manual therapy techniques, exercises, education, and assistive devices.
Tailored exercise programs progressively challenge your endurance, strength, balance, flexibility and coordination to help you achieve your mobility goals.
Exercise Physiology
Our exercise physiologists will design evidence-based clinical interventions tailored to your condition. For chronic diseases, we provide health screening, fitness assessments, and education about using exercise as medicine. Our custom programs can target cardiovascular fitness, strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and symptom management.
Workplace Rehabilitation and Health
Our team of allied health professionals helps injured workers remain at or return to work through custom, goal-oriented rehabilitation programs.
We can coordinate with your employer to conduct worksite assessments, determine your capacity for work, and implement accommodations such as modified duties and graded return-to-work plans. We can also address psycho-social barriers, provide work conditioning exercises, and deliver job-specific retraining.
Telehealth
Telehealth offers a modern and efficient method for providing evidence-based allied health services from a distance. This approach mirrors the traditional in-person experience with health professionals, yet it eliminates the need for travel to a clinic or office. Instead, appointments are conducted virtually through advanced digital platforms, ensuring convenience and accessibility. For instances where digital access may be limited, phone-based consultations are also available.
Our team is deeply committed to leveraging telehealth solutions, bringing years of expertise to the forefront of our services.
How it Works
At ORS, our process for delivering high-quality allied health services follows three simple steps:
1: Comprehensive Evaluation
Our allied health professionals will thoroughly assess your condition, needs, lifestyle, goals and priorities. Evaluations may include interviews, observations, standardised tests, analysis of medical history, and performance-based measures. This enables us to better understand all the factors impacting your health and independence.
2: Personalised Treatment Plan
Based on the evaluation, your allied health professional will work with you to design a tailored treatment plan. The plan will outline therapies, equipment, lifestyle changes and support services that target your individual goals. Our team will adjust the plan over time so you achieve the best possible outcomes.
3: Empowering You Along the Way
Our supportive allied health professionals will provide education, resources, coaching and encouragement throughout the treatment process to actively heal and empower you. Our goal is for you to gain the tools and strategies you need for a healthy, independent lifestyle.
Package Pricing
The cost of a treatment package will depend on the services selected and the number of sessions required. Therapy services can sometimes be funded by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), Early Childhood Intervention, or Medicare Better Access. Please speak to the team for more information.
