About Me
About Me
Abby holds a Bachelor of Teaching (ECE), and a PostGradDip in Specialist Teaching (Early Intervention). Abby has over 14 years of experience working in education, as an educational support worker, teacher and room leader, an early intervention specialist, and more recently the project coordinator creating a transition to school program. Abby's experience lies in the early years, and she is passionate about supporting young children's learning and development. As a wahine Maori, Abby is dedicated to supporting indigenous people, those who have experienced trauma, and young learners to ensure equitable opportunities for those she is working alongside. Abby is a keen learner and looks forward to continuing this learning journey as she steps into the positive behaviour support role. Abby is looking forward to completing her master’s in early intervention and continuing to support vulnerable young children in her work. Abby is active in the community through her local softball club where she is part of the committee, coaches and plays.
