About Me
Aimee completed a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Studies) in 2021, followed by her graduate teaching period in the remote Pilbara region of Western Australia. This experience strengthened her adaptability and commitment to education in diverse communities. Prior to teaching, Aimee spent over 10 years working in and managing childcare centres, building extensive experience with young children and families. She developed strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills while fostering supportive learning environments. Aimee values building respectful, trusting relationships with families and communities, recognising these connections as essential to supporting children’s development, wellbeing, and positive behaviour outcomes. Aimee developed a strong passion for supporting young children through a play-based therapy approach, recognising play as a powerful tool for expression, learning, and emotional development. To deepen this expertise, she completed a Certificate in Play Therapy, equipping her with practical strategies to support children’s wellbeing and resilience. Aimee intentionally integrates play-based therapeutic practices into her work, creating safe, nurturing environments where children feel comfortable exploring and communicating. Aimee’s approach is grounded in understanding each child’s individual needs, fostering confidence, emotional regulation, and positive relationships, while supporting holistic development through meaningful, child-centred experiences.
