Alex relocated to Sydney in August 2023 from Auckland, New Zealand. She holds a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from Otago Polytechnic and has over six years of experience providing care and support to children, adolescents, and their families. Alex works with clients aged 1 to 21 in various settings, including schools, community programs, and private practice. Her expertise includes skill-building in areas such as fine motor skills, emotional and sensory regulation, executive functioning, and self-care. She is knowledgeable in equipment needs, ranging from self-care tools to wheelchairs and basic and complex housing modifications. Recently, Alex has begun collaborating with the NDIS, Medicare, and private health systems, assisting children with diverse needs across Australia. She is dedicated to helping families navigate available supports to enhance their children's well-being. As a Neurodiversity Affirming Therapist, Alex is passionate about fostering inclusive environments that highlight clients' strengths and interests. She is particularly committed to early intervention, serving as a Key Worker to support children's development from a young age. Her dedication to continuous learning, self-reflection, and teamwork ensures she provides the highest standard of care. Known for her friendly and compassionate demeanour, Alex is devoted to making a meaningful impact in the lives of local families.
