About Me
Bettina is an AASW-accredited social worker specialising in disability and the NDIS. She is particularly passionate about early interventions and therapeutic care. As such, she has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and families in crisis due to trauma, abuse, neglect, and other forms of severe adversity. Through interagency MOUs, Bettina works closely with local community organisations and relevant offices under the ACT Community Services Directorate umbrella to create a safe and nurturing environment for young clients with special needs.Bettina values the active participation of carers and emphasises the importance of consistently implementing environmental enrichment strategies to help clients reduce their engagement with challenging behaviours. Most importantly, she strives to improve each client's quality of life by implementing tailored action plans that demonstrate the person-centred practice and focus on developing emotional literacy, emotional regulation, functional communication, independence, and social skill.
