About Me
Christie has 20 years experience as an occupational therapist working in acute and rehabilitation hospitals, community settings, workplace rehabilitation, aged care and universities. She has extensive experience working with adults with a range of complex illnesses and disabilities throughout the continuum of care. Christie has a particular interest in functional cognition and types of dementia, scar management, amputation, home modifications, equipment prescription, functional retraining and engagement in vocational activities. She is passionate about exploring all domains of a person's function and recognises this as integral to overall health and wellbeing. Christie has extensive experience in clinical supervision and enjoys fostering clinical reasoning and confidence in junior therapists. Christie has had the opportunity to live in most states and territories of Australia and has enjoyed exploring our beautiful country and providing health care in many interesting regional, remote and metropolitan areas.
