About Me
Claire holds a Bachelor’s degree in psychology with Honours and a Master of Research in psychological science. Throughout her studies, Claire has explored several mental health and wellbeing topics across diverse populations including emotional regulation throughout the perinatal period and childhood OCD among marginalised groups. She has worked with adolescents and older adult clients in the home and community areas. Claire most values the unique qualities, learning styles and motivational factors of the people and clients she works with. She believes that by recognising and working with each of these assets while providing appropriate support and intervention, people can be empowered to impact their lives positively. Claire takes a special interest in the ‘behind the scenes’ of clinical practice following her honours and master’s thesis via her continued research on the development of different psychological interventions and specialised approaches for different populations. She also plays an active role in the teaching and research community as a seasonal academic in the Psychopathology unit at Macquarie University.
