About Me
Courtney is an advanced level behaviour support practitioner with many years experience in the disability sector. Courtney has experience as a Support Worker and Psychosocial Support before beginning her work in Positive Behaviour Support. Courtney is currently working as the Positive Behaviour Support Training Manager in WA, and has a passion for the training and development of other practitioners within ORS. When working with her own clients, Courtney focuses on client centred care with a high level of stakeholder engagement and collaboration. Courtney's area of special interest is the reintegration of offenders living with a disability through behaviour support interventions, including both skill building the person and working with care teams to reduce environmental triggers. Additionally, Courtney has completed formalised training on protective behaviours, personal safety and sexuality for people living with a disability. Courtney also has completed training and has experience working with clients with Pathological Demand Avoidance. Courtney is also a Registered Psychologist with a Bachelor of Psychology from Curtin University, with experience in a number of psychological assessments and interventions. Courtney works in the psychological space with clients of many different backgrounds and presentations, including clients with multi-morbidity.
