About Me
Devona is a dedicated Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner with a strong academic foundation and practical experience in developmental support. She holds a Bachelor of Psychology from the University of Western Australia and an Advanced Graduate Diploma in Psychology from Murdoch University. Her thesis explored variations in pragmatic language and theory of mind across high and low autistic traits, providing an evidence‑based understanding of social cognition and communication differences. Devona has worked as a support worker with clients across the lifespan and a range of clinical presentations, developing flexible communication strategies and practical behaviour‑support skills. She has a genuine passion for working with children and is particularly interested in the autism space, applying a holistic, person‑centred approach that prioritises client strengths, family involvement and real‑world functional outcomes. Devona brings a deep interest in human behaviour and motivation to her practice and is passionate about empowering individuals to live meaningful, independent lives. She uses this understanding to inform compassionate, individualised behaviour support that encourages autonomy and meaningful participation. Outside of work, Devona enjoys photography and hiking, pursuits that fuel her creativity and love of the outdoors.
