About Me
Ella is passionate about helping people reach their goals and become more independent. She is excited to start as a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioner and bring her skills, lived workplace experience,, and compassion to this role. Ella’s approach is person-centred, strengths-based, and focused on building practical skills and meaningful relationships that support sustained independence. She holds a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing), and has completed a Certificate IV in Disability. Over the past five years, Ella has worked as a support worker, where she developed a deep passion for the disability sector and for partnering with clients and their families. Those years on the frontline taught Ella the value of listening, patience, and consistent, respectful practice — and cemented her commitment to supporting people to live the lives they want. Her education provides a solid foundation in human behaviour, assessment, and evidence-informed intervention, while her commerce background helps her communicate clearly with multidisciplinary teams and plan goal-focused programs. Completing Certificate IV in Disability gave Ella practical, sector-specific skills that translate directly into everyday support and program delivery. Combined with hands-on experience, these qualifications have shaped her approach to assisting people with challenging behaviours: Ella prioritises functional assessment, collaborative planning, proactive supports, de-escalation strategies, and teaching alternative skills — always aiming for the least restrictive and most empowering options. She values the relationships she builds with clients, families, and colleagues, and believes trust and consistency are key to positive change. Ella is excited to bring energy, empathy, and a practical, evidence-based approach to her work as a PBS Practitioner and to continue learning alongside the people she supports.
