About Me
Jake Spicer is a Regional Manager and Behaviour Support Practitioner who thrives on both working directly with clients and guiding other practitioners through training and supervision. With a Master’s of Education in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and completion of the renowned Florida Tech ABA course, Jake has built a solid foundation in evidence-based practices. Jake’s career began in early childhood education, and he has since broadened his focus to work with a diverse range of individuals with disabilities. He is particularly passionate about supporting people with complex and dangerous behaviours, and his approach is grounded in human rights, person-centred care, and his own lived experience with chronic pain. He is also a strong advocate for data-driven decision-making, ensuring that interventions are both compassionate and effective. As a leader, Jake is committed to empowering his team to develop their skills, ensuring that practices evolve with the latest research and best practices. Outside of work, he enjoys birdwatching and meditating, which help him stay connected to nature and grounded in his approach to life and work.
