About Me
Jessica has 7 years of experience in the health sector. She started as a support worker and worked with group homes, SIL, day programs, and flexible support while studying to become an Enrolled Nurse. During this time, she worked with a range of children, young adults, and elderly people with complex backgrounds such as ASD, ID, physical disabilities, and more. After finishing her studies, Jessica worked as a surgical nurse and managed postoperative delirium and behaviour escalation around this. While working as a surgical nurse, she went back to studying to finish her degree. During this time, she did placements in corrections and mental health, gaining knowledge on complex mental health histories. When Jessica finished her degree, she worked as a registered nurse in critical care on CCU and cardiac ward. Later, she worked on a geriatric ward, which predominantly focused on dementia. Jessica gained a lot of experience in behaviour management and escalation of behaviours during this time.
