About Me
Jessica completed her Speech Pathology degree at the University of Newcastle, and has over 13 years' experience working with all age groups in the community, inpatient settings as well as private practice. Jessica is passionate about helping people achieve their speech and language goals to increase access to opportunities, and improve social and emotional connections. Jessica believes in empowering individuals to utilise their voice for self-advocacy, ensuring intervention is person-centred and strengths based. Jessica has specialist knowledge in the area of paediatric hearing loss and hearing habilitation. She has worked as a research speech pathologist in this area and has co-authored several research articles published in peer-reviewed journals. The thing Jessica most enjoys about her role, is having the opportunity to connect with people and their families across the life-span. She feels privileged to listen to people's life stories, and to be a part of helping them achieve their goals and aspirations.
