About Me
Meerab has over 4 years’ experience working as a Provisional Psychologist and Senior Rehabilitation Consultant in occupational rehabilitation. Meerab has worked with clients from diverse backgrounds and ages, including clients with complex physical and psychological injuries and veteran-populations. She has worked primarily in the workers compensation scheme; both in the ACT and NSW jurisdictions, and within the DVA framework. Meerab has experience working within crisis support and with imminent risk clients through her in-depth volunteer experience with Lifeline Canberra. Meerab has in-depth knowledge and experience in conducting vocational assessments and vocational counselling to assist clients in identifying realistic vocational pathways to facilitate return-to-work in the safest and most timely manner possible. She has supported clients in gaining meaningful employment and returning to daily activities. Meerab recognises the importance of structuring and adapting interventions based on clients’ needs with a holistic view on recovery and is dedicated towards supporting clients in gaining control of their lives and living an independent life that is not centred around pain. With her diverse background in psychology, Meerab has a key interest in mood and personality disorders, including trauma-informed care, and recognises the significance of implying a person-centred approach to build rapport, promote positive recovery and to provide benefits to an individual’s broader life.
