Peter is a compassionate provisional psychologist whose hands-on experience and client-centred approach make them a strong addition to the ORS team. They have one year’s frontline experience as a disability support worker supporting children with diverse mental health diagnoses, where they built practical skills in behavioural support, therapeutic rapport and family-centred planning. They also volunteered for a year as a Lifeline crisis supporter, developing acute risk assessment, de-escalation and empathetic listening under pressure. In addition, they completed a three-month clinical placement at the Edith Cowan University Psychological Services Clinic, gaining supervised experience in assessment, evidence-based interventions and collaborative case formulation. These experiences, combined with their relevant qualifications and commitment to ongoing professional development, equip them to deliver safe, evidence-informed care across community and clinical settings. They are motivated by strengths-based practice, early intervention for young people, and integrated multidisciplinary care, and are dedicated to contributing practical, client-focused solutions within ORS to support positive functional and well-being outcomes.
