About Me
Ronnel is a Senior Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner with a strong foundation in psychology, counselling, and person-centred practice. He completed his psychology training in the Philippines with strong academic distinction and later earned a graduate degree in Counselling Psychology. He brings experience supporting individuals with diverse and complex needs across behaviour support, community, and multidisciplinary settings, with a focus on improving quality of life through practical and respectful approaches. Ronnel has a strong interest in trauma-informed practice, human rights-centred support, and understanding the personal narratives that shape how people experience themselves and the world around them. He values hearing each person’s story and recognises that the stories people carry about identity, struggle, and possibility can strongly influence wellbeing and change. He is passionate about working collaboratively with participants, families, support teams, and other professionals to create meaningful outcomes that reflect each person’s goals, preferences, and lived experience. Alongside his clinical work, R has contributed to research exploring the relationship between substance use and poverty, with his graduate study published internationally. He brings curiosity, empathy, and cultural awareness to his role, helping participants, families, and teams feel understood, supported, and empowered to create positive and lasting change.
