About Me
Rujeko is a dedicated Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner with experience supporting children and adolescents under the NDIS. She holds a Master of Counselling and is registered with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA), integrating clinical counselling with evidence‑based PBS to support clients and their families. During her counselling placement, she worked with clients across the lifespan and facilitated art- and play-based therapy to help children process grief and build self-understanding. Rujeko has worked with NDIS providers to monitor behaviours of concern and deliver training and coaching to support staff and families in implementing individualised Behaviour Support Plans. She practises from a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and person-centred stance, prioritising least-restrictive, function-based interventions that teach skills (communication, emotional regulation, and social participation) and reduce distressing behaviours. Her counselling background strengthens therapeutic rapport, active listening and collaborative goal‑setting. She works closely with families, educators, and allied professionals to develop context-sensitive supports and monitor outcomes, ensuring plan effectiveness and client dignity. Her aim is to improve wellbeing, independence and meaningful participation for every client.
