About Me
Trish has been a clinical Occupational Therapist for more than two decades, specialising in paediatrics for much of her career. She has worked in a variety of settings including government organisations (both state and federal), hospitals, private practice and in the community. Trish’s experience also includes hand therapy, medico-legal assessments, orthopaedics, neurology, inpatient rehabilitation, seating clinics, occupational rehabilitation, and outpatient therapy. Trish’s passion surrounds paediatrics, enthusiastically pursuing optimal therapeutic outcomes through creativity and innovation applied through play-based interventions. This is built on an unwavering focus on providing a person-centred approach tailored to the individual needs of the child and their family across all environments. She strives to provide each child with an opportunity to become the most successful version of themselves. Additionally, each child’s development is monitored, and therapeutic goals are adjusted accordingly as they progress throughout their lifespan. Trish thoroughly enjoys mentoring other Occupational Therapists and providing guidance on their journey as therapists. She has been asked by OT Australia to review various professional textbooks and provide an opinion, which was published in the journal. Trish also enjoys participating in a functional-based fitness program outside of work and ending quality time with her partner and her three daughters.
