About Me
Viv is a highly motivated, bubbly person who takes pride in being able to establish quick rapport and trust with her clients, especially those who find it difficult to engage with others. Viv has over 15 years' experience in working with persons who are trying to overcome challenging Behaviours, including those in low socio-economic areas and the Indigenous community. She has specialised in working with clients who are living with cognitive disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, and Central Auditory Processing Disorder. Viv is highly experienced in working alongside clients that are experiencing trauma-based Behaviours, alcohol and other substance use issues, and those who live with mental health issues. Viv has practiced in group-based therapy, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, emotion regulation, and counselling. Viv has completed Certificates in Education Support with Aboriginal studies and is completing her final year of bachelor’s in counselling and psychology. She has worked in a multitude of environments, engaging with various stakeholders to manage a multidisciplinary approach. Using a person-centred approach Viv loves to enable her clients to reach the goals they want to achieve, allowing them the life skills and independence that they want to reach.
