About Me
Laura-Jayne started as Adult Rehabilitation Specialist in both private and public sectors with international experience in London's NHS as well as tertiary hospitals in Melbourne and Canberra. In 2014, Laura-Jayne received the “Allied Health Professional of the Year” award in the ACT Public Health sector for her contributions to Multidisciplinary teamwork by upholding and advocating for the Speech Pathology profession and her Clients. Laura-Jayne has also has a keen interest in Neurodiversity affirming Practice for both Adult and Paediatric Clients. Laura-Jayne believes in empowering Clients to understand their condition which enables them to learn how to manage their own rehabilitation while aiming to move forward to reach personal goals and milestones. Laura-Jayne has a breadth of experience in Dysphagia and Communication disorders, including voice. Laura-Jayne's special interests include Mental Health and Cognitive Functioning as well as Functional Neurological Disorder as well as Neurodiversity Affirming Practice with Clients across the continuum.
