How our IPS model works (Simple Steps)
People with psychosocial disability are about half as likely to be employed as those without disability. A specialist, evidence-based service is essential—and that’s what we provide.

We build rapport and understand vocational goals, strengths, and non-vocational barriers and work capacity. Together we set your Job Plan – goals, contact frequency, activities and preferred communication.
1. Initial Assessment
We ensure all jobs, hours, locations and supports are guided by your goals, strengths, culture and preferences.
2. Person-centred and preference-driven
We work in partnership with your supports to help you achieve your goals, where we have your consent.
3. Integration with Allied Health/Mental Health Supports
We provide practical training and support in work-readiness, building confidence, disclosure training, resumé/applications, interview skills, arranging short courses/licences, organising work observations and volunteering.
4. Work Preparation & Skills Building
We engage employers as guided by you through direct contact and via our network to create and customise roles to your preferences and needs. We train employers in mental health awareness, neurodiversity and inclusive practice.
5. Rapid, tailored Job Search and Systematic Job Development
We provide on-the-job coaching, problem-solving and help with any adjustments required. Our aim is to build skills and experiences that help you to achieve a career not just a job.
6. Post-Placement Support
(PPS)
We provide on-the-job coaching, job redesign, additional training and customised support for clients requiring this support and as guided by Ongoing Support Assessments.
