About Me
Amanda is an Advanced Behaviour Support Practitioner with over 10 years of experience specialising in supporting children and adolescents with a range of developmental and intellectual disabilities, including those on the Autism Spectrum. She has developed expertise in co-designing and implementing individualised interventions that honour each person's unique way of thinking, learning, and interacting with the world. Her work includes supporting a wide range of behaviours, such as self-injury, demand avoidance, eating and sleeping challenges, and skill development programs. With international experience, Amanda has worked in the UK at a specialised school for students with complex learning needs and behavioural diversity. She takes a collaborative approach, working closely with families, support staff, teachers, and educational assistants in community and clinical settings across the UK and Australia. Amanda is deeply passionate about empowering individuals to recognise their strengths and abilities. She is committed to providing support that respects and promotes self-determination, helping individuals navigate their unique challenges while fostering their autonomy and self-worth.
