About Me
Josephine is a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner and a provisional psychologist. She is completing a Master of Professional Psychology at La Trobe University, hoping to become a registered psychologist. Before her current position, Josephine worked with the Department of Justice as a Clinical Program Evaluator. As a clinical program evaluator, Josephine was exposed to a research environment both in theoretical and practical aspects where she was required to think critically, analyse, compare data, enter data into SPSS, and be able to summarise the findings of the data. Josephine collected evaluation data by conducting qualitative and quantitative research on the department's package computer systems and hardcopy files. The role involved analysing resident demographics, offender profiles, risk profiles, psychosocial profiles, pre- and post-psychological tests, and clinical outcomes per treatment completion reports. Josephine is a compassionate and driven individual with a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of others, particularly those who are vulnerable and coping with mental health difficulties. Josephine's professional and academic experiences have allowed her to learn and gain knowledge about mental health complexities and the barriers that exist within minority communities. Josephine is passionate about helping others; she is determined to keep evolving and growing professionally.
