About Me
Katrina works as an NDIS Behaviour Support Team Leader and has a caseload of NDIS supported clients. She has extensive experience working with children, adolescents and adults of all ages. Prior to working for ORS, Katrina spent four years working with adolescents, in the Out of Home Care System, living with complex trauma. This has given her a unique insight into the challenges of clients living with complex trauma experience and comprehensive, experience-based knowledge on evidence-based, person-centred, and trauma-informed care models to support them. Katrina has also worked for four years managing a support and supervision program with clients in the Morisset Psychiatric Hospital Forensic Unit. This has provided her with extensive skills in working with extremely complex clients. She also gained experience in working closely with multi-disciplinary teams and excels at training both support staff and her Behavioural Support Team in practical and easy to apply behaviour strategies. Katrina's passion is working with complex clients living with Schizophrenia, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Complex Trauma, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder and Borderline Personality Disorder.
