About Me
Ronnel has psychological counselling, teaching, and assessment in drug rehabilitation. He has worked in various educational and clinical settings such as universities, drug rehabilitation, and halfway houses. As part of his extensive training, he became acquainted with several approaches to case conceptualisation which allows him to better formulate therapeutic strategies that are embedded on individual and social realities. Given his passion in psychology and a staunch human right advocate, he lobbies a more 'humane' and empirically based interventions to improve the client's quality of life. Ronnel likes to preoccupy himself with reading and writing scientific research. In fact, he was able to publish a journal article in a peer-reviewed journal about the cycle of drug relapse. In that paper, he offered insights as to how certain rehabilitation practices and socio-political structures may enable drug-relapsing behaviours.
