About Me
Sam recently graduated from the University of Canberra, gaining a strong foundation in paediatric, mental health, and community occupational therapy. He has experience in home modifications, assistive technology, and skill building. Throughout his university placements, he gained critical insights into diverse practice settings and cultural approaches to care. His experience as an occupational therapy assistant at a paediatric NDIS provider further developed his understanding of occupational therapy and the NDIS. Sam is highly motivated to support people of all ages to achieve their goals, with a strong passion for working with neurodivergent clients and people with disabilities. He strives to use a neuro-affirming approach and an accepting attitude in all that he does. Sam understands that each of his clients is the most qualified for their healthcare. During his studies, Sam completed an international placement, allowing him to refine his therapeutic skills and contribute to a project enhancing mental health services for the community. Before university, Sam worked in his family’s funeral business. This rewarding experience shaped his perspective of life and strengthened his determination to work in a role that allowed him to support people.
