About Me
Veronica is a recent graduate from the University of Sydney. Throughout her clinical placements, Veronica has gained experience working with children through to adults in a variety of settings. Such as private practice, schools, community health, aged-care and acute hospital setting. She has supported people with their communication and swallowing goals by providing evidence-based assessment and intervention that was tailored to individual client needs. Veronica is passionate about working with clients, their families and other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure that the best speech pathology service is provided to obtain quality individual care. Veronica also believes that finding out what motivates the client is key to engaging them in therapy. Veronica's areas of interests include working with people that have neurodivergent disorders, complex communication needs, acquired communication disorders, dysphagia, early intervention, trauma, education and prevention. Prior to ORS, Veronica worked as a support worker and an allied health assistant - both roles were based in the community including a Supported Independent Living (SIL) service. Veronica loves seeing clients in the community and appreciates seeing them in their natural environment - as this further helps her to support clients to use their available resources to achieve their long-term goals.
