The University of Newcastle’s annual Employability Excellence Awards were held overnight celebrating industry partners, staff and students that champion excellence in employability.
⭐️ We are very excited to announce that ORS’ Maggie Fulwood, Allied Health Assistant for Speech Pathology, has won the 2022 Work Integrated Learning Student of the Year Award! ⭐️
Maggie is currently studying a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours) at the University Of Newcastle and completed her Work Integrated Learning with us. This enabled Maggie to experience life as Speech Pathologist and deliver assessments and therapies.
Maggie says that her placement at ORS has taught her a variety of skills. “I’ve learned to communicate with, not only clients from a variety of backgrounds, but also clinicians doing the same thing and clinicians doing very things. I feel the Speech Pathology team at ORS are so supportive and have helped me to develop confidence and independence.”
