About Me
Kara is a Registered Psychologist with a Bachelor of Law/Bachelor of Psychology and a Master’s degree in social work. Kara enjoys assisting clients to improve their well-being. She is empathetic, pragmatic and has a gentle sense of humour. She works with people with often co-occurring challenges such as depression, relationship difficulties, neurodiversity, addictions, LGBTI+ issues as well as grief and loss. Her approach is tailored to each individual and often draws from therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT).
