About Me
Rebecca graduated from the University of Canberra in 2019 with a Master of Occupational Therapy. Before joining ORS, Rebecca worked in Aged Care in both Residential Aged Care and the community. While working in Aged Care, Rebecca developed an interest in pain management and commenced her post-graduate diploma in pain management through the University of Sydney. As part of her role in Aged Care, Rebecca developed an exercise group for people with Parkinson's disease, conducted post falls review, hospital reviews and seating assessments/wheelchair prescriptions and worked in Dementia Care. She developed twiddle muffs as an intervention for a calming effect. In her current role, Rebecca conducts functional capacity assessments, home modifications and assistive technology. Rebecca has an interest in home modifications, wheelchair and seating along with pain management. Before becoming an occupational therapist, Rebecca worked for the Australian Federal Government for 10 years and worked in Human Resources, Events and Media and Early Intervention/Work Health Safety as an administrative officer further Rebecca has an understanding of Comcare. Rebecca holds a Master of Occupational Therapy, Bachelor of Public Health and a Human Resources Diploma and is working towards a graduate diploma in pain management.
