About Me
Serena is a Registered Psychologist with specialist endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology, and a board-approved psychology supervisor. She has experience conducting individual and multidisciplinary assessments with all age groups and has worked across a variety of settings including community, remote outreach, and the justice system. She completed her PhD in the area of perception in Autism Spectrum Disorder and was involved in development of a graduate training program in assessing and diagnosing Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder at the University of Western Australia. Serena has a background in understanding differing presentations of neurodiversity throughout the lifespan, including adult-onset neurodegenerative and psychiatric conditions that may occur, and across genders and cultures. She has a focus on differential diagnosis for clients with complex presentations and backgrounds and welcomes referrals for clients who are unsure what sort of assessment they need. She is passionate about diagnostic assessment as a tool to facilitate understanding of the individual by themselves and others involved in supporting them.
