About Me
Tara is an occupational therapist who studied at Curtin University in Perth. Tara has experience in paediatric and adult populations and a special interest in assistive technology prescription, neurological conditions, and hand therapy. Tara worked at a regional public hospital for two years, her primary role being the prescription of home modifications and equipment to support the function and independence of older adults. Tara also developed carer education skills, complex and chronic conditions management, manual handling, bariatric patient care, pressure care, and inpatient discharge planning. Tara previously worked with children under NDIS and developed skills such as assistive technology prescription, sensory regulation, neurological rehabilitation, and supporting clients to work toward school-related goals. Tara completed her DIR Floortime 101 and 201 training and practised implementing this learning into therapy sessions. Tara is keen to continue to build on her skills in the NDIS space, including supporting clients with complex assistive technology needs and to continue to develop as a Floortime Therapist.
