Today we celebrate National Cerebral Palsy Day by sharing Declan’s inspiring story. 💚
When Declan was just a child, his family’s life changed forever. After a tragic accident and a series of medical complications, Declan was diagnosed with Bacterial Menangitis & Cerebal Palsy. Doctors told his mum, Kya, that he might never sit up, smile, or communicate.
But Kya never gave up, and neither did Declan. 💪
With the support of his family and ORS clinician Kate, Declan has been on an incredible journey of progress and discovery. Together, they have worked on assistive communication technology, helping Declan learn to use a switch to make choices, play music, and express himself in new ways.
Every small step, whether pressing a button, turning on his favourite song, or sharing a smile, represents hours of practice, teamwork, and belief.
Kate’s approach has always been about celebrating the small wins, building confidence, and making therapy fun. When Declan achieved a new skill, he did not need anyone to cheer for him first. He celebrated himself. That joy, determination, and self-belief are what make his journey so powerful.
Today, Declan continues to learn and grow, supported by his family and a village of people who believe in his potential. His story is a reminder that even when the road is long and uncertain, there is always light at the end of the tunnel. 🌟

Today we celebrate National Cerebral Palsy Day by sharing Declan’s inspiring story. 💚
When Declan was just a child, his family’s life changed forever. After a tragic accident and a series of medical complications, Declan was diagnosed with Bacterial Menangitis & Cerebal Palsy. Doctors told his mum, Kya, that he might never sit up, smile, or communicate.
But Kya never gave up, and neither did Declan. 💪
With the support of his family and ORS clinician Kate, Declan has been on an incredible journey of progress and discovery. Together, they have worked on assistive communication technology, helping Declan learn to use a switch to make choices, play music, and express himself in new ways.
Every small step, whether pressing a button, turning on his favourite song, or sharing a smile, represents hours of practice, teamwork, and belief.
Kate’s approach has always been about celebrating the small wins, building confidence, and making therapy fun. When Declan achieved a new skill, he did not need anyone to cheer for him first. He celebrated himself. That joy, determination, and self-belief are what make his journey so powerful.
Today, Declan continues to learn and grow, supported by his family and a village of people who believe in his potential. His story is a reminder that even when the road is long and uncertain, there is always light at the end of the tunnel. 🌟

From Stroke Survivor to Thriving: Dennis’ Journey with ORS' Physiotherapist Shabreena.
After a life-changing stroke and five months in hospital rehab, Dennis was told he might never regain his independence. But he had other plans.
With determination and expert support from Shabreena, Dennis set big goals: to walk longer distances, climb stairs unaided, and get up independently after a fall.
