About Me
Amy has honed her skills through experience in the challenging environments of UK prison and court settings. A graduate in forensic psychology, she embarked on her journey in the field with a clear focus on making a difference to the lives of individuals within the criminal justice system. Previous experience has equipped her with invaluable insights into rehabilitation and reintegration. Amy's interests include working with adolescents and young people with complex behaviours in contact with the forensic system. Amy employs a trauma- informed approach in her practice, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all clients. She is committed to collaborative care, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic intervention for client support. With a strong commitment to professional and personal development, Amy has made significant contributions to the field, including creating and publishing a journal, "The Reflective Practice Journal for Future Psychologists". In June 2024, Amy presented her masters research at the International Association of Forensic Mental Health conference in San Francisco. The research highlights a strengths- based, solution focused and family collaboration programme to addressing domestic abuse. Amy is dedicated to the transformation and positive impact that the field of psychology can achieve.
