John commenced his career with a diploma of Community Services, followed by a double degree in Political Science and Psychology. He then completed his psychology Honours before obtaining his Master of Professional Psychology. John brings over 15 years of experience in frontline human services across both public and private sectors. His professional background includes work in child protection, child and adolescent mental health services, and a range of housing and community-based programs. He has also provided support to asylum seekers and refugees in Papua New Guinea and Nauru. John is a firm believer that our thinking is something we can learn to guide and strengthen. He views it as a skill—one that, like any other, can be developed with intention, practice and the proper support.
