About Me
Katarina is passionate about the mental health sector. She loves assisting people in achieving their goals, improving their quality of life, and overcoming barriers to live a happy and fulfilling life. She has a keen interest in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, and various mood disorders, among many others while applying a person-centred and culturally sensitive approach and respecting neurodiversity. She has a strong passion for mental health, clinical and counselling psychology, working with trauma, and advocating for people with disabilities. Katarina’s experience is relevant to psychology and diverse. She has extensive experience in behaviour support in developing and supporting NDIS participants. Katarina has also worked within the disability industry for six years in various roles, including Support Worker and Team Leader roles. She has experience working with a variety of different physical and mental health diagnoses, older adults and children, along with substance addiction. Katarina has well-developed interpersonal skills and enjoys upskilling her clients and their support teams in psychological principles and implementing positive behaviour support strategies. She is skilled in case management and administration, which she has developed through other relevant and related roles. She is a strong believer in education and training for her clients and those who support them to get the best possible results. She is multilingual, speaks fluent Slovak and Czech, moderate Polish, and is currently learning Spanish.
