About Me
Kathleen is a member of our Positive Behaviour Support and Psychology teams with a Graduate Diploma in Psychology, Graduate Diploma in Psychology, Advanced and currently studying her Master of Professional Psychology. Kathleen’s passion is aiding individuals to improve their quality of life, reach their full potential and achieve their goals. Prior to joining ORS, Kathleen’s expertise consisted of mental health support work, online crisis support with Lifeline, face-to-face mentoring and behaviour support. In her time with ORS, Kathleen has worked with behaviour support and psychology participants across the life span – from 2 to 70 years old. The primary diagnoses she has worked with are Autism Spectrum Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, Intellectual Disability, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Major Depressive Disorder, Anxiety, Borderline Personality Disorder, Traumatic/Acquired Brain Injury, Schizoaffective Disorder and Schizophrenia, Dementia and Alzheimer’s, and more. Kathleen brings a breadth of experience across the full range of psychosocial, mental and physical disabilities. She understands the importance of individualising psychology intervention and treatment plans, and positive behaviour support approaches. She is confident in her execution of multi-disciplinary approaches in supporting individuals through to in-person one-on-one session facilitation. Kathleen’s approach is patient, compassionate, sympathetic and kind. She ensures the individual remains at the forefront of every step.
