About Me
Nicole has primarily worked with children and youth since 2017 in volunteer and professional roles. She has years of experience as an Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) therapist using the Verbal Behaviour approach and primarily worked with children living with Autism and other complex needs within their private homes and the community. Her current experience as a provisional psychologist spans across 1.5 years in the NDIS space working with all ages in the community. She has also entered the NDIS space as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, working closely with clients and their support network to enhance their quality of life. Nicole is inspired by resilience and an individual's ability to overcome their challenges. She is passionate about using a strengths-based and person-centred approach to assist individuals realise their potential. It is important for Nicole to create a safe, non-judgemental space for each person, as she believes this is the key to promot flourishing. She enjoys learning about different populations and is interested in broadening her professional skills across the lifespan by first understanding the life stories of each individual, as well as by reading the current evidence base and attending professional development workshops.
