About Me
Patience has over 8 years of experience working in the disability Industry. Patience has worked with a diverse range of people experiencing different types of disabilities including Learning disability, Physical disability, Cerebral palsy, Developmental delay, youth on the Autistic Spectrum, Multiple disabilities and most recently working as a mentor to young adults experiencing intellectual disability and coming from the criminal justice background. As a Mentor Patience provided a range of services and programs designed to change offending behaviour and reduce the likelihood of young adults re-offending. Patience has a strong passion for embedding person-centred and strength-based approaches in positive behaviour practices and she is dedicated to working with clients support networks to discover the why behind their client's challenging behaviour. Patience believes using the right approaches and quality interventions can make extraordinary changes in clients' lives and their support networks. Patience has completed her diploma in community services and a bachelor's degree in social sciences. Patience has an interest to complete her Masters in mental health and in social work in order to gain further knowledge and subsequently provide better outcomes for her clients.
