About Me
Sam is an occupational therapist who supports people across the lifespan and from diverse cultural backgrounds. He works across home modifications, assistive technology, and functional skill building, with clinical experience in paediatric, adolescent, and mental health services. He brings practical knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme and how funding, supports, and goals can be aligned to maximise participation, independence, and everyday functioning. Sam adopts a neuro‑affirming, strengths‑based and collaborative approach, believing that each person is the expert in their own life. He works closely with clients, families and support networks to set meaningful, achievable goals and to implement practical strategies that enhance engagement and quality of life. An international placement during his training contributed to a community mental health project and refined his therapeutic and community engagement skills. Earlier experience working as an occupational therapy assistant and in his family’s funeral business shaped Sam’s compassionate, respectful and person‑centred practice. These professional and life experiences combine to make him a committed clinician who prioritises dignity, choice and real-world outcomes for the people he supports.
