About Me
Shaya is a passionate and supportive occupational therapist committed to empowering people to achieve their goals and lead meaningful lives. A graduate of the University of Sydney, Shaya draws on clinical experience in a rehabilitation hospital, an acute mental health service and a paediatric community setting, working with people across the lifespan. She adopts a strengths‑based approach and prioritises building trusting therapeutic relationships with all clients. Additionally, Shaya takes a collaborative and goal‑centred approach, working closely with clients, carers and multidisciplinary teams to co‑design meaningful supports. Known for her warm and friendly manner, Shaya practices with cultural responsiveness to meet the needs of people from diverse backgrounds and is committed to accessible, respectful care. Shaya is passionate about research and completed an Honours project exploring neurodivergent allied health professionals and neurodiversity‑affirming practices. With this research background, she is enthusiastic about translating evidence into practice to deliver high‑quality, equitable outcomes.
